Afikpo North is a Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. Its headquarters is in the town of Afikpo. Its important cities are Itim, Ohaisu, Nkpoghoro, Ugwuegu/Amaizu, Ozizza, Amasiri, Ibii/Akpoha and Unwana city, afikpo
It has an area of 240 km² and a population of 156,611 at the 2006 census.
