Biography

Afida Turner was born in Auchel, France.[2] Her father was from Algeria and her mother from La Réunion.

In the 1990s, she started a singing career, releasing the title "Crazy About You" in 1998.[3] She substequently appeared as an extra in various French TV shows. She only came to media attention in 2002 by appearing – under the name Lesly – in the second season of Loft Story, the first French reality television series.[4] After exiting the show, she released several records under the alias Lesly Mess.[5]

During the 2000s, she relocated to the United States where she aimed to pursue her singing career. She had a relationship with Coolio and, in 2007, married Ronnie Turner, the son of Ike and Tina Turner. She then started to use the name Afida Turner.[5][5][6][7]
