The 6th Annual Critics' Choice Television Awards, presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), honoring the best in primetime television programming from June 1, 2015, until December 31, 2015, took place on January 17, 2016, at the Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hangar in California. This year marked the first time the awards were presented with the movie awards.[1] The ceremony was simulcast live on A&E and Lifetime.[1]

The nominations were announced on December 14, 2015. ABC, HBO and FX each received 15 nominations. Fox received 12 nominations.[1] Actor and comedian T. J. Miller hosted the ceremony.[2]
