The 2016 Orange Bowl will be a college football bowl game that will be played on December 30, 2016 at the Hard Rock stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.^[1] It will be one of the 2016–17 bowl games that will conclude the 2016 FBS football season. Sponsored by the Capital One financial services organization, the game is officially known as the Capital One Orange Bowl. The winner of the game will receive the Orange Bowl trophy.

The contest will be televised on ESPN with a radio broadcast on ESPN Radio, kickoff is at 8:00 PM (EST).

Teams

The teams playing in the Orange Bowl game will be the highest ranking team from the ACC and the second highest ranking team from either the Big Ten or SEC, if not already selected to play in a College Football Playoff semifinal game. The SEC or Big Ten team ranked higher in the final rankings by the CFP committee will be selected to play against the ACC team.
