Sam Querrey, who grew up in nearby Thousand Oaks defeated Ričardas Berankis for his third Los Angeles title in four years on July 29, 2012.^[1] The championship match lasted just 51 minutes. Last year's champion Ernests Gulbis did not play in the Farmers Classic, but chose to compete in Kitzbühel this year.
