The “‘2008 Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship’” was the 114th staging of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Kilkenny County Board in 1887. The Championship began on 20 September 2008 and ended on 26 October 2008.

Ballyhale Shamrocks won their third title in a row, beating James Stephens 2-11 to 0-12 in the final.

Dicksboro were relegated from the championship following 2-11 to 1-11 defeat to Young Irelands.

Erin's Own were promoted to the 2009 Senior Championship after defeating Danesfort in the 2008 Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship Final.
