The 2005–06 Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball won the Big Ten regular season and played in the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament for their third time. The Buckeyes lost to Iowa in this final game (They had lost to the Hawkeyesonce during the regular season game as well). The Buckeyes played in the NCAA tournament where they lost the second round to the Georgetown Hoyas. The Buckeyes lost only one game at home, going 16-1 and improved on the previous season's total wins by six.
