- It was Lendl's 1st title of the year and the 95th of his career.
- To reach the finals, Ivan Lendl defeated the following opponents: Round 1 (Bye), Round 2 (Guillaume Raoux), Round 3 (Gary Muller), Quarterfinals (Michael Stich), Semifinals (Brad Gilbert).[1]
Men's Doubles
