The 1985–86 Argentine Primera División was the 95° season of top-flight football in Argentina. The season began on July 6, 1985 and ended on April 20, 1986.[1]

This tournament saw a major reform in Argentine football, as the European calendar was adopted as well as the tournament format. The league title was won by River Plate achieving its 21° league title.
