Rita has an average orbital speed of 14.90283178 km/s and an inclination of 7.19821º.

This asteroid was discovered on 9 April 1931 by Karl Reinmuth. Its provisional name was 1931 GE. Any reference of its later name, Rita, is unknown.[1]
