Victon (Korean: 빅톤; stylized as VICTON), acronym for Voice To New World, is a South Korean boy group formed by Plan A Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of seven members: Han SeungWoo, Kang SeungSik, Heo Chan, Lim SeJun, Do HanSe, Choi ByungChan and Jung SuBin. Victon debuted on 9 November 2016 with their first extended play Voice to New World. Victon is the brother group to veteran girl group and labelmate, Apink. Victon is the company's first male idol group.

History

Pre-debut: Plan A Boys, Me & 7 Men, Begin Again

On 17 August 2016 Plan A Entertainment's SNS released pre-debut news of Victon, known as the trainee group Plan A Boys at the time.[1]

On 30 August 2016, Mnet aired the first episode of Me & 7 Men featuring all the members of Victon. The reality show's purpose was to show the debut process of Plan A boys.[2]

On 31 August 2016, Plan A Boys collaborated with labelmate Huh Gak on the track Begin Again.[3]

2016: Debut with Voice To New World

On 1 November 2016, Plan A Entertainment dropped a video displaying the logo of the group, names of the members, and the day of their debut on the company's V Live channel and Victon's YouTube channel. On the same day the company dropped music video teasers of the members Se-Jun and Byung-chan from Voice to New World's title track I'm Fine. On 2 November 2016, the company dropped the music video teasers of Su-bin and Han-se. On November 3, 2016, Plan A entertainment dropped the music video teasers of Seung-woo, Chan, and Seung-sik. Two days after the last release of the member's music video teasers the company dropped a performance trailer of Victon's What time is it now? track from the group's first extended play. On 7 November 2016, the company released a music video teaser of I'm Fine; a day later, the company dropped a highlight for Voice to New World featuring short samples of all the tracks in the extended play. On 9 November 2016 at 12:00 am, Victon's I'm Fine music video was released on YouTube and Plan A Entertainment's V Live channel.
