He has premiered over two dozen works by contemporary composers since 2001.[2] Notably, he performed the world premiere of Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji's Sonata No. 0 (1917) at Carnegie Hall in 2002, and made the first commercial recording thereof.[3][4] In the past thirteen years, he has performed thirty of Beethoven's thirty-two piano sonatas at various major venues to fulfill his pledge to perform all of Beethoven's piano works (including chamber music and lieder) before his 250th birthday in 2020.
