Nicholas James Masson is an American actor, dancer and singer.[1]

Early life, education and training

Originally from Hudson, New Hampshire, and raised in Boston, Masson made his professional stage debut at the age of ten, in the national touring production of the Broadway musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.[2][3] At the age of three, he began studying dance at DancEnergy of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and then The Dance Company in Amherst, New Hampshire.

Following his appearances in several local and regional theatrical productions, Masson graduated from Alvirne High School in 2014.[4][5] He subsequently attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, where he majored in dance.[6]

Career

Masson appeared in the first first national tour of the Disney Theatrical Productions' Newsies the Musical, in the role of Mush. He was also a replacement in the role of Crutchie in that production.[7][8][9][10] Masson will also appear in the role of Mush in the Disney film production of the stage musical, set for theatrical release in 2017.[11][12]

Teaching

In addition to his work as a performer, Masson has also taught dance, having served on the dance faculty at the Broadway Connection in New York as a teaching artist.[13]
