Mesorhizobium ciceri is a gram-negative, nitrogen-fixing motile bacteria from the genus of Mesorhizobium which was isolated from Chickpea nodules of Cicer arietinum in Spain.[4][5][6] Rhizobium cicero was transferd to Mesorhizobium ciceri.[7]
