Megalostrata (poet)

Megalostrata was a Spartan poet, described by the lyric poet Alcman as a golden-haired maiden enjoying the gift of the Muses.[1] None of her works survive.[2] According to Athenaeus, Megalostrata attracted lovers because of her conversation, including Alcman.[1]
