Khokholsky District (Russian: Хохо́льский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,451 square kilometers (560 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Khokholsky.[1] Population: 29,814 (2010 Census);[4] 32,889(2002 Census);[7] 39,700(1989 Census).[8] The population of the administrative center accounts for 25.2% of the district's total population.[4]
