From 1951 to 1955 she was News broadcaster Radio Maroc in Rabat.
From 1952 to 1955 she gave contributions British Broadcasting Corporation.
From 1958 to 1962 she worked for McGraw-Hill World News (1945-1988)^[1] in Morocco.
From 1956 to 1965 she was Stringer (journalism) for Time Life in Algiers, Rabat and Lisbon.
From 1957 to 1971 she was correspondent for The New York Times in Algiers, Rabat and Lisbon.
From 1972 to 1975 she was bureau chief of The New York Times in Rio de Janeiro.
From 1975 to 1976 she was correspondent for The New York Times in Portugal and Angola.
From 1977 to 1984 she was bureau chief of The New York Times in Beirut, Ankara, and Athens.
From 1984 to 1994 she was reporter of the Metropolitan staff New York City.
