Evalar (Russian: Эвалар) is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Russia, the country's absolute leader in the volume of released natural preparations for health preservation and promotion. The share of Evalar accounts for about 25%[1] of the pharmaceutical market in Russia supplements. Commercial and plantation of medicinal herbs (900 ha) ZAO Evalar located in the Altai Krai. History

The company was founded in 1991 as a result of conversion on the basis FSPC «Altai». Joint-stock company headed by Larisa Prokopieva, researcher and PhD. Hence the name of the company resulting from the combined names of two women: Eva - Director of the Polish cosmetics company Pollena Gdansk and Lar - Larisa Prokopieva.

Awards

For several years Evalar retained first place in the rating of Russian manufacturers of dietary supplements, the share of the company accounts for nearly a quarter of the pharmaceutical market of dietary supplements.

Evalar Company possesses the honorary title "Number one trademark in Russia".[2] Evalar Company is the winner of the prize «Health idea» among Russian and foreign natural dietary supplement manufacturers as a Year Best «Manufacturer» in 2006, 2007, and 2008. It has also won many other special prizes and awards.
