Dilys Cadwaladr

Dilys Cadwaladr (19 March 1902 January 1979[1]) was a Welsh poet.

She is notable for being the first woman ever to win the Crown at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.[2] She achieved this feat in 1953 at Rhyl.

Cadwaladr lived in Bardsey Island for several years in the 1940s, as a farmer and the schoolteacher to the island's children.[3]
