Brunswick is a Canadian parish in Queens County, New Brunswick.[2]

History

Brunswick Parish established in 1816: possibly named for Frederick William, Duke of Brunswick, who died at Quatrebras in 1815: included most of Chipman Parish until 1835.

Delineation

Brunswick Parish is defined in the Territorial Division Act[3] as being bounded:

Southeast, east and northeast by the County lines; west by Johnston Parish, and northwest by the northeasterly prolongation of the northwest line of Johnston Parish.

Governance

The entire parish forms the local service district of the parish of Brunswick, which was established in 1968 to assess for fire protection. First aid and ambulance services was added to the assessment in 1976 and never formally removed.
