J. Basil Dannebohm was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 113.[1] He was the only non-incumbent to run unopposed during the 2014 election.[2]

In September 2012, Dannebohm was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson's Disease. In an effort to raise awareness of the effects of the disease, he travels the country as both an advocate and speaker.[3]

On February 24, 2015, after serving only 42 days as a legislator, Dannebohm resigned due to health reasons.[4] He was replaced by Greg Lewis of St. John.[4]
