Baked & Wired

Baked and Wired is a bakery and coffeehouse in Georgetown that opened in 2001.[1] They specialize in baking cupcakes but also offer a wider range of baked goods, including "hand pies," cookies, donuts, muffins, quiches, brownies, and the like.

They are located a few blocks away from Georgetown Cupcake, and locals walking by the long lines sometimes advise tourists to try Baked and Wired instead. Many locals consider Baked and Wired more of an "insider" choice, especially for those who live in Georgetown, whereas Georgetown Cupcake is more of a tourist phenomenon. [2]
