Šárka is an old female given name with Bohemian origin. In Czech Republic it is still the seventy second most common name. The name means rocky hillock. Šárka is also name of the cliff in northwest outskirts of Prague. The mythological Šárka jumped from this cliff because of her remorse that she hepled lure Ctirad into a trap.
